LC and LC high Speed Drive mechanics protection 

Techno recognizes that our CNC routers must stand up to harsh and contaminated environments. Techno’s unique design incorporates Teflon coated rubber protection seals, which help prevent dust and debris to gather on the drive components. This results in minimal maintenance and increases the drive components life expectancy. All this adds up to one thing; increased profits for the customer. 

LC High Speed Drive Motors

Techno’s engineer’s have sized the servo motors and drives to provide maximum power and efficiency. The servo motors provide 180 oz/in continuous torque during operation and, combined with the drive systems, provide 450 lbs of thrust. Unlike servo motors, stepper motors are rated for holding torque and actually decrease in torque as they run by approximately 80%. When cutting, it is imperative to have the power at the time of the cut, but steppers do not provide this. In addition steppers are open loop. Open loop systems do not have any feed back to the controller, therefore the machine does not know where it is at any time during the running of the program. Servo controls are just the opposite- there are encoders which send position feedback to the controller. If the machine requires more power to drive through a portion of the cut this is done automatically without losing steps. Think of it from this perspective; what high-end production machine, costing over $100,000, on the market today uses stepper motors? Why do other router manufacturers offer servos as an option and at a higher cost? The answer is because it is a superior control system that costs considerably more to put on the machine.

PC Based Controller 

All of Techno machines are PC based controlled systems. With a PC based system, you have the most advanced state-of-the-art system that offers flexibility and ease of use. The Techno Gcode interface program can be upgraded for free via the internet for the life of the machine and will always keep you current with today and future technology. As times and computers change, and environments become more advanced, updating your controls system is as easy as purchasing a new computer. The Techno machine can be networked into your existing office computer environment.
